Hi Guys, I'm Thomas!
Welcome to my kitchen. I'm the baker, recipe developer, entrepreneur, and founder of Fire And Pastry.
This is my way of sharing my passion for sweet delights and great food with the world, as well as documenting my journey to becoming a chef.
MY STORY
I began selling cupcakes in high school which sparked my interest in baking.
After I graduated high school, I decided to take baking seriously and enrolled into a baking course. This gave birth to my bakery; Boss Cupcakes.
Waking up at the crack of dawn to fulfill my cake orders for the day had become the routine for me. I kept in touch with my university friends, and they continued to buy cupcakes daily.
With the help of my friends and family, an infusion of social media marketing, and sleepless nights baking and perfecting recipes, I watched my business expand from a home bakery to a brand that received inquiries from other cities.
I was fortunate to find a job in an Oman bakery. Speak about fate. I recall literally crying of joy as the airplane took off. I hope my story inspires you.
Why Fire And Pastry?
The idea for Fire And Pastry developed as a result of this desire and passion to bake and work in the kitchen together.
On this site, I will share with you kitchen and baking tips and tricks that I have learnt throughout the years.

- I come from a small coastal town called Mombasa in Kenya.
- I read a lot. My favourite book is Millionaire Success Habits by Dean Graziosi. Books will forever be an important part of my life.
- I'm a Website Developer. This website that you're currently browsing on was designed by me.
- I love swahili food. My favourite is Chapati with Chicken Stew. My mom makes the best chapatis!
- I write poems that will never see the light of the day.
